Waiting for the Sun, the title of the painting guides us toward a search for light in the darkness, suggesting hope and faith that not everything is lost. Times are difficult, but have they ever truly been better?
The painting was created in 2025 and belongs to the cycle Totally unimportant. For me, it represents a transition between my previous cycle Beneath the illusion, a sea of love awaits us and the new one, Totally unimportant. It is painted on a 70 × 100 cm canvas, using acrylic paints, acrylic varnish, sand for texture, and gold foil. Viewed from different angles and in different lighting, it reveals varying effects. Intention was to emphasize the breaking of sunlight through the darkness.
